The most expensive marker you buy is the one that gets stolen. That is why we invented the Stake Anchor. To keep YOUR markers in YOUR garden. Before this the usual process was to bolt the marker to a coffee can, fill it full of concrete, then dig a hole and bury the whole thing in the ground. Sounds fun to me.

Do you really need it? If you have an open to the public garden, university or park, probably yes. If you are a private garden or are fenced, maybe not.

Visiting botanic gardens over the years we think the biggest threat to markers is bored children. One garden told me they found all their missing markers, when they drained their pond. Another one found a lot of markers all laid out in the lawn, very neatly, like rail road ties. A third saw a couple kids "sword fighting" with them.
Stake Anchors only get used on markers that have stakes. It goes in the soil easily, when you try to pull it out of the ground, the Stake Anchor flairs open and makes it hard to remove. The Stake Anchor is solid aluminum (won't rust), riveted onto the stake with 2 rivets (won't come off). You can get it out of the ground but it is easiest with a shovel.
Again, keep YOUR markers in YOUR garden with the Stake Anchor.
